One of the newer music venues in the Valley of the Sun, The Compound was founded by the same people who created the McDowell Music Festival. Fractal
This venue is overflowing with good vibes and has a really good feel to it. Its tucked away on mckinley, just off of grand. Don't be misled by the map, It's impossible to miss if you're driving by it though. It has a giant warehouse door with "Fractal" written on it in big lettering.

Funny World
Funny World, housed in a ramshackle residence at 12th and Madison streets, is owned by Phoenix resident Donald Roth, who goes by the nom de guerre "Space Alien Donald." Besides hosting art shows and live music events at the venue, Roth -- a self-proclaimed "backyard scientist" -- will also conduct physics and gravity experiments inside and outside. Local artists will display their works during art shows at Funny World, and Roth will allow them any sort of mural they desire on its walls.
Roth says the parties will continue for the next six months until the City of Phoenix plans to fully purchase and raze the residence for a new parking lot for the nearby Phoenix Fire Department's administrative offices. -

Orpheum Theater
The magnificent Orpheum Theatre, located in the heart of downtown Phoenix, is a multi-purpose cultural facility. Originally built in 1929, this historic theater was restored by the Orpheum Foundation and the City of Phoenix and reopened in January 1997. The Orpheum Theatre is a 1,364-seat, technically modern but architecturally and historically preserved venue for performing arts, community and civic events and visitor and convention use. In addition to touring productions, the Orpheum is home to Theater League and Southwest Arts and Entertainment, and is also used by other local and regional professional production and performance companies, and non-profit performing arts groups. The Orpheum Theatre is also a premiere setting for jazz concerts, one-man comedy shows and much more.

Royale Theater
A retro grindhouse in the heart of Downtown Mesa, The Royale is a community arts venue & theater space styled after the film palaces of yesteryear which plays host to a unique mix of the newest independent films & retro cult classics. Housed in a historic building constructed in 1908, The Royale has an intimate Auditorium that seats 48, with a sophisticated decor & comfortable theater-style seating. Sunnyslope Art Walk
The Sunnyslope Art Walk is held over the many blocks to the south of Central and Dunlap in Phoenix each second Saturday in April and October. It features over 100 local visual artists, plus about five areas of live music. Over 1000 Phoenicians usually turn out to stroll among the myriad booths, discover energy hubs, browse the open businesses and sample the many eateries.

Teeter House
The Bouvier-Teeter House, a Midwestern style bungalow, was built in 1899 by Leon Bouvier, a cattleman and flour miller. It was also used as a rental property. Bouvier sold the house to Eliza Teeter in 1911 and she in turn, rented out the property until she moved into the house in 1919. Now known as the Teeter House, it is a charming Victorian tea room offering gourmet soups, salads and sandwiches. Tea ceremonies with a turn-of-the-century style are available by reservation. Beer and wine also are served. Catering is available for special events. Reservations are recommended but not required. Live music is frequently available on Friday and Saturday "Teeter Evenings." Yobs is the venue formerly known as Ye Olde Bike Saviours. All shows are all ages, all shows are awesome, and all shows begin at 8pm. Bring money to donate to the touring bands or you will get a very very dirty look from the door person. And be respectful of the house, we live here too.

One of our favorite spots for live music in Tempe. Just about all of their shows are FREE. Drinks are cheap and the atmosphere is relaxed. There is something musical going on 7 days a week. Hang out and watch live bands with a PBR or go next door and play pool and explore their finer selection of booze and craft beers. ALL SHOWS ARE ALWAYS 21+. The Yucca is located on the SW corner of Southern and Mill ave. The parking and entrance are located behind the venue.
