Marianne Dissard & Francoiz Breut with Snow Songs and Dry River Yacht Club
This is the long-awaited first US tour for French chanteuse Françoiz Breut, the original pioneer of the Nouvelle Scène Française. Opening is French-born, Tucson-based Marianne Dissard. The two women are label-mates in Europe (Le Pop Musik) and met ten years ago, when Marianne wrote a couple of songs for Françoiz with music provided by Joey Burns (Calexico) and Howe Gelb (Giant Sand).
